Great HymnFest!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the HymnFest at Trinity last night!  It was great to have an opportunity to hear about the Synod from Bishop Gordy, and the music and fellowship were wonderful.  A special thank you to the choir from Living Grace and to Nu Prayze for their beautiful anthems.  Also, thank you to Rick Kilgore, the Director of Music at Trinity, for leading the event. 

Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us.

Hymnfest!

Join us at 6:30 p.m. on February 12, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church for a Hymnfest.  We will have a mass choir composed of members of choirs from the conference churches.  All churches in the conference are invited to have one of their choirs, bell choir, or other ensembles perform as well as to select a hymn for all to sing.  In addition, Bishop Gordy will be present to update us with information about what's happening in the Southeastern Synod.  Please contact Connie Rifkind at crifkind@aol.com with questions, hymn suggestions, or other information.
